This was needed when we were experimenting with the xeus jupyterlite kernel. We didn't go that direction, so we don't need this dependency.
The build package is now deprecated on conda-forge, in deference to the python-build package.

I reverted the last two commits that deleted the output widget file and fixed the python version to try again now that it's been two weeks. Let's see if it was a transient failure in the infrastructure? |

Two small updates to the documentation dependencies
With these updates, I can begin the build process for docs on a mac m1.
